The main purpose of the IT Application Analyst position is to provide administration of various applications supporting the Greater Austin Travis County Regional Radio System ( GATRRS ). This position will assist in administrating, monitoring, and maintaining applications such as Customer Programming Software ( CPS ), Key Management Facility ( KMF ) application, Radio Central, Radio Manager, Provisioning Manager, and Genesis (radio system usage reporting application). This position will be responsible for the following:
- Gather details for implementation of code plug templates including requirements such as Fleet-maps (radio talk groups, location of talk groups, agencies) and interoperability.
- Develop and consolidate Code Plug templates for radio communication for all radio users.
- Maintain data integrity and accuracy across various applications for radio IDs, serial numbers, aliases on the radio system by defining and following standard data guidelines.
- Support system upgrades, security patch updates and maintenance of the hardware and software supporting the applications described above.
- Define standard practices for radio Preventive Maintenance team to follow regarding regular upkeep of radios of all users.
This position requires to be part of the ‘on-call’ rotation.
