HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $19.34 - $25.32OPEN UNTIL FILLED - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELYDuties and ResponsibilitiesThis position involves duties performed in both an office and field environment, including:- Assisting the Training Manager with the planning, creation, development, implementation, execution, and evaluation of training programs (both in-person and online) for poll managers, staff, board members, and/or customers. This includes coordinating and supporting all aspects of training logistics-before, during, and after sessions-such as arranging training spaces, scheduling, tracking attendance, managing passwords, preparing materials and supplies, and setting up and breaking down training sessions.
- Conducting in-person and/or virtual poll manager training sessions, while demonstrating strong public speaking and writing skills.
- Maintaining the county’s online poll manager training platform, providing prompt troubleshooting support, and ensuring accurate documentation from poll managers for county reporting and reimbursement purposes.
- Performing administrative tasks such as answering phones, emails, filing, data entry, and reviewing reports for accuracy and compliance with reimbursement requirements.
- Overseeing training checklists, preparing training materials and supplies, fulfilling supply orders, and maintaining inventory to ensure all necessary items are available for training sessions. Assisting with the distribution of materials and auditing training supplies to confirm all items are accounted for after each session.
- Participating in team and department meetings, as well as outreach events, and serving as a knowledgeable resource for other staff members.
- Attending meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions, and reviewing publications and audiovisual materials to stay current on principles, practices, and developments related to the role.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications- Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in training, or a similar role.
- Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for training events and during elections.
