The Department of Public Health (DPH), Health Centers is hosting a Hiring Event to fill positions for, Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN), Care Assistants (CA), Health Services Assistants (HSA) and, Dental Assistants. Multiple vacancies exist throughout Ontario, San Bernardino and High Desert region.Qualifying candidates will be invited to attend the Hiring Event that will be held on December 11, 2024 in San Bernardino. Interviews are by invitation only and applications must be submitted by November 25, 2024, at 5 PM .

Registered Nurse II
$38.22 - $51.68 Hourly
REQUIREMENTS:
Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
Certification: Valid Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate issued by the American Heart Association.
Experience: M ust possess six (6) months of full-time equivalent experience performing duties as a licensed RN.
Licensed Vocational Nurse II
$21.39 - $29.35 Hourly
REQUIREMENTS:
Licensure: Valid Vocational Nurse license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (CA BVNPT).
Certification: Valid Intravenous (IV) Therapy/Blood Withdrawal certifications* for LVN issued by a provider approved by the CA BVNPT and v alid healthcare provider level BLS Certificate issued by the American Heart Association.
Experience: must also possess one (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in a clinic or outpatient care work setting.
Care Assistant
$18.01 - $24.75 Hourly
REQUIREMENTS:
Certification: Valid Healthcare Provider level BLS Certificate issued by the American Heart Association.
Education: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program. Required proof of a Medical Assistant certificate or transcript must be attached to application.
Experience: Six (6) months of full-time work experience, within the past two (2) years, assisting medical professionals with dressings, biopsies, treatments, procedures and performing screening tests in a medical environment.
Health Services Assistant
$17.69 - $23.83 Hourly
Education: A high school diploma or GED, or a U.S. Department of Education approved High School Equivalency Test. - AND-
Option A: One (1) year of full-time equivalent experience directly assisting professionals in providing health or social services.
--OR--
Option B: Successful completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) program (front and back office) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program resulting in a certificate.
--OR--
Option C: Successful Completion of the Entry-Level Workplace Certificate from the SBC Career Path Builder Program.
Dental Assistant I
$19.09 - $26.30 Hourly
License: Current license as a Registered Dental Assistant issued by the State of California Board of Dental Examiners.
Certifications: Possession of a Coronal Polishing certification AND v alid healthcare provider level BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Experience: One (1) year of experience (full-time equivalent) performing clinical dental assistant duties which includes oral health education, charting of decayed, missing and/or filled teeth, and instructing patients on proper oral hygiene and proper nutritional habits.
Dental Assistant II
$20.11 - $27.62 Hourly
License: Current license as a Registered Dental Assistant in extended functions issued by the State of California Board of Dental Examiners.
Certifications: Possession of a Coronal Polishing certification AND v alid healthcare provider level BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Experience: One (1) year of experience (full-time equivalent) performing clinical dental assistant duties which includes oral health education, charting of decayed, missing and/or filled teeth, and instructing patients on proper oral hygiene and proper nutritional habits.
Desired Qualifications
Bilingual Compensation: Additional compensation is associated with positions requiring the use of bilingual skills. Testing of bilingual skills may be required to receive additional compensation.
