Transportation Yard Supervisor (D) (ATLDOT)

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED). 2 years of supervisory experience in a production-oriented environment, inventory management, or warehouse experience.

Preferred Education & Experience associate degree in business, inventory management, or a related field and 4 years of supervisory experience in a production-oriented environment, inventory management, or warehouse experience.

Licensures and Certifications

A valid Class C driver’s license is required. Prefer Class A or B CDL.

Physical Ability: Tasks involve the regular and sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds); may occasionally involve heavier objects and materials (up to 100 pounds).

Sensory Requirements: Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of colors, sounds, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.

Environmental Factors: Tasks may require exposure to such environmental conditions as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, wetness, humidity, rain, fumes, temperature and noise extremes, machinery, vibrations, electric currents, traffic hazards, toxic agents, violence, disease, or pathogens.
