The Human Services Ops Supervisor at Paiute Neighborhood Center provides operational leadership and management at the beautiful Paiute Neighborhood Center campus located at 6535 E. Osborn Rd. in south Scottsdale.
Responsibilities include regular communication/coordination with contracted agency tenants (SARRC - Southwest Autism & Research Center, Hirsch Academy and Head Start), facility management/maintenance and leading a front desk (full and part time staff) and the professional case management team. This position will be the direct liaison with the non-profit organization Partners for Paiute and work in collaboration with the Family Resource Center/staff located on site and support the Human Services department strategic plan.
Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate's experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $88,171.20 annually. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience- A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, counseling or a closely related field from an accredited educational institution.
- Four years' work experience in social work, psychology or counseling and experience coordinating a social or behavioral health service program.
- At least 6 months of lead or supervisory experience.
- Bilingual skills may be required for some positions.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements- Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
Essential Functions Performs duties and responsibilities commensurate with assigned functional area which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following:
- Supervises employees and coordinates personnel-related activities to include, but not limited to training, approving work schedules, recommending/approving personnel actions, coaching and counseling, establishing performance goals, and writing performance evaluations.
- Solicits input from community agencies for purposes of identifying needs and effectiveness of services provided.
- Assists in the development of grant applications relating to the funding of center services.
- Prepares complex social services reports.
- Presents to boards, commissions, community agencies and partners.
- Monitors multi-agency budgets.
- Monitors professional services contracts with a variety of public, private and social service agencies.
Work Environment/Physical Demands - Travel to/from meetings and various locations.
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Transport and set up educational equipment.
- Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
