General Description and Classification Standards Performs semi-skilled work involving the operations, inspections, and maintenance of airport Fleet equipment. Duties may include, but are not limited to performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs within secured and unsecured areas of airport, managing Fleet service requests, training or orienting early career employees on equipment safety and operations, reporting, and operating equipment which includes tow trucks, forklifts, battery power packs and other equipment used in the daily fleet operation.
Supervision Received Works under supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. May assist in Fleet equipment training, orienting, or observing early career associate, apprentice, or semi-skilled employees in the group.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience - High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and 1 year of aviation or customer service work experience.
Preferred Education & Experience - Completion of a 2-year technical or vocational course of study in the appropriate area.
- 1 - 2 years of prior work experience in the Fleet industry and/or work environment.
Licensures and Certifications Valid state of Georgia Driver’s License required.
Essential Capabilities and Work Environment Required physical, lifting, and sensory capabilities are requirements to perform the job successfully. Typical environmental conditions associated with the job include indoor office and outdoor in all weather conditions.
