POSITION EXPECTATIONSThis position will assist guests and conventioneers both in person and over the phone by providing information about Las Vegas, provide office support through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication to ensure proper workflow and efficiency of the department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Greets and assists guests in a prompt and professional manner. Provides information, answers questions pertaining to the area, scheduled conventions, events, and hotel information. Responds to emails and provides accurate up-to-date information. Meet with guest/clients when necessary.
- Performs duties as an information operator for guests who call the LVCVA.
- Processes correspondence, payroll for on-call Registration ambassadors, invoices, scheduling, etc.
- Researches information on the Internet and printed material to obtain all relevant information for shows, special events, etc. Researches and compiles various information and necessary reports for effective department operation.
- Assists other departments in gathering information on hotels, attractions, special events, etc., and accurately enters all collected information into databases.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND SKILLS- Ability to effectively communicate through oral and written communication skills
- Strong hospitality and interpersonal skills with a bias towards being of service
- Ability to present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to guests
- Ability to learn new software programs, retain and follow specific guidelines, rules and policies
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/REGISTRATIONSMust have a valid Nevada driver’s license at time of appointment and must maintain during course of employment.
