Job Expires: 11/19/24 Salary: Commensurate with experience General Description and Classification Standards Division of Capital Projects Management requires a Civil Engineer Senior with extensive knowledge of sanitary and combined sewer collections systems, storm sewer systems, potable water distribution systems, water & wastewater facility design with knowledge of equipment types used in the industry. Additionally, a broad working knowledge of various engineering disciplines is desired to be effective in the role.
The purpose of this job is to assist the Director of Design Management with site visits, planning, design, plan review, RFI & Shop Drawing review, and construction engineering support for Capital Improvement Projects and occasionally produce in-house design documents.
This position is a for an experienced professional civil engineer who routinely exercises project leadership over complex projects, trains other professionals, or serves as a specialized subject matter expert in one or more specific areas. The Civil Engineer Senior will provide leadership to junior engineering staff, and report to the Director of Design Management.
Minimum Qualifications - Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or industrial engineering or related engineering or science degree. Three (3) years of experience in surveying, engineering design, inspection, and drafting.
Preferred Education & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or industrial engineering or related engineering and 5+ years of experience in engineering design, inspection or drafting and knowledge of Water / Wastewater Operations and Maintenance.
- IBM Maximo Experience
- Advanced Knowledge of SQL, VBA and Data Analytics
- Master’s degree could supplement experience
Licensures and Certifications Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) required. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred.
