OVERVIEW Kitsap County Department of Human Services We are seeking a team member for the Developmental Disabilities program which provides a full array of services and supports that enhance the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities in our community. We assist individuals who experience a developmental disability and their families to lead full, integrated active and productive lives in Kitsap County.
Kitsap County Developmental Disabilities partners with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) to administer a range of services by subcontracting with local agencies.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Master's degree in field related to area of assignment or
- Bachelor's degree and four years of experience including at least one year of lead or supervisory experience
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, OR QUALIFICATIONS: - Previous experience with developmental disability programs at the County level

- The duties in this position are performed in an office setting utilizing standard office equipment.
- Travel will be required for offsite meetings with local, regional, and statewide groups as needed.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLE OF DUTIESIn this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Serve as key liaison for the adult/infant developmental disabilities program. Providing county-wide planning, development, administration, evaluation and monitoring of the delivery of services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Oversee Request for Proposal/Qualification process for funds dedicated to developmental disabilities services. Provide staff support to the Kitsap County Developmental Disabilities Advisory Board.
- Develop and administer service contracts and program budgets. Interpreting and applying federal and state regulations in the development, execution and monitoring of subcontracts to ensure compliance with Federal, state and county requirements. Provide quality assurance and utilization review for Kitsap County Developmental Disabilities (KCDD) system.
- Prepare, maintain, and monitor budget expenditures and client statistical data. Authorize monthly billing expenditures and complete monthly State Client Reporting and Billing system requirements.
- Participate on local, county and state committees/boards in the coordination of state-wide policy development and implementation, program planning and service delivery.
- Coordinate adult and infant service planning and development activities with local agencies and organizations, other County departments and State organizations, advocacy groups, private service organizations, and other organizations in Kitsap County. Respond to citizen complaints and resolves issues for adult and infant service systems.
- Coordinate transition services for students with developmental disabilities from all Kitsap County School Districts. Promote community awareness of developmental disabilities programs and services by providing information and education to citizens, schools, agencies, business, industry and other community groups. Makes presentations and speaks before a variety of audiences to present developmental disabilities program goals, objectives, and activities.

Vacation Leave New employees are credited with 48 hours of annual leave upon hire and will be begin accruing at the rate of 8 hours per month starting on their 7th month of employment. Employees may carry over 360 hours from one calendar year to the next. Annual leave accrual will increase upon tenure, as follows:
Upon completion of 3 years: 15 days per year (10.00 hours per month)
Upon completion of 5 years: 20 days per year (13.33 hours per month)
Upon completion of 10 years: 25 days per year (16.67 hours per month)
Sick LeaveAll new hires will be credited with 48 hours of sick leave upon hire and will begin accruing at the rate of 8 hours per month starting on their 7th month of employment. Employees may carry over 1200 hours from one calendar year to the next.
