    General Description and Classification Standards

    Assists the assigned department in carrying out the overall functions and day-to-day operations relating to community affairs, stakeholder engagement and public relations. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: supervising staff; providing administrative support; coordinating special events; resource and fund development, creating outreach initiatives that align to organization missions; attending and presenting at executive-level meetings; tracks and reports community impact utilizing various metric software and process and tracks annual budget appropriations.

    Supervision Received

    Works under very general supervision with the expectation of being a self-starter. Depending on organization structure, may work independently with responsibility for an assigned function or program.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, business and public administration or a related field.

    • 3-5 years of experience in community-based interaction and program management and a minimum of 1 year of supervisory or managerial experience is required; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities for this job.

    Preferred Education & Experience

    Bachelor's degree in communications, business and public administration or a related field and 5-8 years' of experience in social responsibility, non-profit management and program development and 1-3 years' of supervisory or managerial experience is preferred.

    Licensures and Certifications

    None required.
