Job Summary This position performs a variety of administrative and office support responsibilities, both technical and business in nature, frequently confidential, in direct support of the Patrol Services Bureau of the Bryan Police Department.
Essential Job Functions - Coordinates fleet maintenance schedule; transports vehicles for maintenance; coordinates with fleet services on equipping vehicles.
- Coordinates and maintains vehicle registrations and inspections.
- Assists in the purchasing of equipment and coordinates installation of equipment.
- Assists in the Patrol Services Bureau annual line inspection as directed.
- Maintains inventories within the Patrol Services Bureau; monitors supplies, equipment and paperwork utilized in the Bureau and orders replacements as necessary or directed.
- Performs a variety of general clerical duties including data entry and maintaining records and files.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Responds regularly and promptly to work.
Minimum Qualifications - High School Diploma/ GED .
- Must possess at least one (1) year of work experience directly related to automotive field performing tasks such as inspections, maintenance, parts, and/or sales, performing inventory control/purchasing/warehouse, and/or performing job specific tasks that involved strong organization, records management, and data entry.
- Must be willing to work in a position involving office and field work (such as transporting vehicles/equipment).
Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training may be considered.
Licenses, Certifications & Special Requirements - Texas Class C driver’s license with a good driving record as measured by the City’s evaluation system.
- Must not have any criminal conviction above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or any Class B misdemeanor within the past 10 years.
- Must clear the selection process which includes completion of a Personal History Statement ( PHS ) Form, interview, background investigation, and a drug/alcohol screening.
