    Position Summary

    Position Summary:
    Responsible for deploying, cleaning, inventory, and organizing hospital beds, gurneys, WOWs, monitors (patient and vitals monitors, etc.) and other equipment support for the organization.

    Job Requirement

    Education/Experience:
    Equivalent to graduation from high school and two (2) years of experience in hospital support services.

    Licensing/Certification Requirements:
    None.

    Additional and/or Preferred Position Requirements

    • Experience in all Microsoft office products, with expert level in MS Excel.
    • Six (6) months to One (1) year, recent documented experience in inventory control and/or distribution/replenishment experience in an Acute Care health facility.
    • Excellent Verbal Communication & Interpersonal Skills.


    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements

    Knowledge of:
    Basic hospital services; receiving, storing and issuing equipment and supplies; inventory control record keeping practices and procedures; units of weights and measures and standard terminology; suppliers of materials required by the department to which assigned; shipping requirements and methods; personal computers and associated software applications; use and maintenance of tools related to the work; business arithmetic; record keeping principles and practices; department and hospital safety principles and practices; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.

    Skill in:
    Performing accurate receipt, storage and issuance of materials, and equipment; maintaining accurate inventory control records; safely using and maintaining hand and power tools and material handling equipment related to the work; making accurate arithmetic calculations; understanding and following oral and written instructions; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
    Strength, mobility and stamina to perform sustained physical labor, including standing and/or walking for extended periods of time; vision to read printed instructions and labels; hearing and speech to communicate effectively in-person, over the telephone, and over a two-way radio; exert in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
