    Salary range: $87,500

    General Description and Classification Standards

    Manage department wide payroll operations to ensure compliance and accurate compensation including Oracle Time and Labor and Time Clock Plus software. Develop and maintain payroll processes and systems, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Approves Oracle workflow requests. Manages and supervises staff. Provides training, coaching, and mentoring. Fosters a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver an exceptional payroll experience. Conduct root-cause analysis on payroll issues and drive solutions. These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. May perform other duties as assigned.

    Decision Making

    Identify recommendations to scale processes to enhance payroll operational efficiency, including the design and implementation of internal controls. Makes general recommendations to the Payroll Director when necessary, guaranteeing business continuity. Establishes work methods, timetables, performance standards, etc. Has managerial formal authority over a work group of professional, technical, or administrative employees with intermediate supervisors and/or team leaders.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    Prepare monthly and quarterly reports including overtime, training, operational/performance assessments, and other ad hoc reports. This is a partial listing of necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the job successfully. Knowledge of Oracle Time and Labor and some knowledge of Kronos WFC, as well as payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with FLSA standards. Skilled in computers and office technology. Ensures integrity of data produced in systems and guarantees accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of payroll documentation. Ability to communicate effectively with departmental staff as well as internal and external stakeholders. Skilled in identifying operating issues and developing solutions. Proficient in Excel.

    Qualifications - External

    Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in management, accounting, administration, or related field. Proven experience (5 years) in payroll implementation and (10 years) experience in Payroll Operations. Payroll managerial experience is required.

    Preferred Education & Experience
    • Bachelor’s degree in management, accounting, administration or related in addition to 3 years of managerial or supervisory experience

    Licensures and Certifications
