    Description

    This position is primarily responsible for providing divisional administrative analysis, development and review of projects, and management of permitting and licensing process.

    Hiring Salary: $68,140 - $89,252 (Hiring Salary dependent upon applicant’s qualifications)

    OPEN UNTIL SUNDAY 10/20/24 - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELY

    Duties and Responsibilities

    *Responsible for administration of permitting, controlling and quality control of permitting from start to end in order to document the goals and standards of the department for audit purposes.

    *Recordkeeping, maintenance of permits; including corresponding with owners and other interested parties, alerting upper management with significant events or additions to permitting related activities.

    *General office management as it relates to permitting and permitting staff.

    *Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills,

    *advanced experience with word processing, data entry, spreadsheets and development and execution of power point presentations and provide assistance to Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals.

    *Crystal Report or SQL knowledge preferred and may become a requirement.

    *Other duties as assigned.

    *Must possess a valid SC Driver’s license.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Minimum Education:

    Position requires an Associate’s Degree or higher or combination of education and qualification experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

    Minimum Qualification:

    *Five (5) or more years’ of experience in Management, Business, Administration or similar with applicable experience in construction to include knowledge of building and construction principles and practices, building code and ordinances,

    *State and Federal laws pertaining to construction and licensing or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work is acceptable.

    *Advanced experience in word processing, data entry, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.

    *Must obtain certifications as a Permit Technician and CFM (Certified Floodplain Management) 6 months,

    *National Incident Management System (NIMS 100, 200, 300, 700, and 800),

    *ICC (International Code Council) Legal, ICC Management, and others desired such as additional NIMS and other certifications within a future planned timeframe.
