The Role:The Surveillance Investigator supports a safe and secure atmosphere for customers, contractors, business partners, and ambassadors by monitoring surveillance systems. This role uses proactive measures addressing threats and hazards and employing response procedures to mitigate impacts from routine and unforeseen incidents. The Surveillance Investigator relies on a strategic combination of technology and human intervention to achieve success.
What You’ll Accomplish: Keep in mind that this list is not all-inclusive.
- Monitor the video surveillance system to identify suspicious and unusual activities and situations.
- Conduct investigative research at the request of Customer Safety Department Management. Review post-incident video archives to gather credible evidence, factual information, and historical records.
- Gather additional facts of circumstance and cause, and identify responsible parties, trends and patterns to create actions to prevent future incidents.
- Coordinate and oversee building access. Maintain brass key program and the electronic access control system. Track all records, including creation, destruction, maintenance, etc.
- Review and approve security plans for incoming shows and adequacy of security coverage based on show type and size.
- Establish an effective operation and reporting for the security tour system. Maintain historical officer proof-of-presence records and office productivity metrics.
- Collect intelligence and analysis of global incidents, threat environments, and trends affecting the LVCC campus and its convention attendees. Provide recommendations to management as necessary.
- Install and maintain surveillance system equipment. Conduct regular equipment inspections and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Seek emerging technologies and resources to benefit the Customer Safety department operations.
What We’re Looking For: - High School Diploma is required
- Minimum of two years of surveillance-related experience is required; experience as a surveillance technician is a plus
- Proficient with video management systems and key and access control software
- Experience with Microsoft Office Outlook and Word
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, management, and other ambassadors in a variety of formats
- Ability to support and respect the various cultural and ethnic values, behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes of a diverse workplace
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
- Must have a valid Nevada driver’s license and keep it current during employment
- Must be able to work various shifts outside of regular business hours
