    Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is now hiring for an Administrative Nurse Manager in Employee Health Services who will organize, plan, and provide prevention, preparedness, surveillance, and mitigation activities that support the hospital’s Employee and Occupational Health Program at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

    Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Manages and oversees the scope and function of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center’s Employee Health Department.
    • Serves as a subject matter expert and resource to ARMC departments, personnel, the Infection Control Committee, and outside agencies.
    • Provides Employee and Occupational Health related education at ARMC.
    • Develops and implements Employee and Occupational Health policies and procedures.
    • Ensures the appropriate screening, vaccination and immunization program for employees and designated staff as identified by ARMC policies and procedures.
    • Compiles and analyzes clinical data for performance improvement. Maintains records and reports.
    • Reviews sterilization and disinfection methods practiced in all areas of the hospital and makes recommendations for change as necessary.
    • Serves as a member on the Infection Control Committee, Patient Safety and Quality Committee, and other relevant committees as defined by the Department’s Administrator.
    • Reports information required by federal, state, county, local and other regulatory agencies.
    • Coordinates and implements the hospital-wide Employee and Occupational Health Program.
    • Applies knowledge of regulatory agencies, professional standards, and recommendations of the CDC, NIH, CMS, and The Joint Commission in developing the program Employee and Occupational Health policies and procedures.
    • Provides Employee and Occupational Health support and leadership during regulatory and accreditation visits and surveys.
    • Manages critical data and information including surveillance studies for Employee and Occupational Health in conjunction with the hospital quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
    • Manages, coordinates, delegates, and directs both professional and non-professional personnel consistent with hospital and County policies.
    • Intervenes to interrupt the transmission of Employee and Occupational Health infectious diseases and investigates outbreaks.
    • Applies knowledge of principles of Employee and Occupational Health in providing education and comprehensive services to patient, staff, and healthcare workers.
    • Provides input into facility construction, development, and design to minimize infection as needed.
    • Establishes, maintains, and promotes positive interpersonal and customer relations.
    • Performs duties with consideration of safety factors and effective use of resources.
    • Perform related duties as assigned or requested.
    • Provides vacation and temporary relief as required.

    ARROWHEAD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

    Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
    Pre-Employment Process: Incumbents must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history and education verification, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
    Availability : Twenty-four (24) hour responsibility, on-call and call-back may be required.

    Certifications : Must maintain necessary certifications and complete on-going educational units/certifications required for assigned areas of responsibility.

    Minimum Requirements

    Candidates must possess ALL of the following:

    License: Must possess and maintain active Registered Nurse licensure with the State of California Board of Registered Nursing.

    Experience: Three (3) years of full-time equivalent experience as a licensed Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital AND one (1) year of full-time equivalent experience as a full-scope supervisor over professional nursing staff. Experience may be concurrent.

    Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.

    Certification: Must possess and maintain a Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support(BLS) Certification.

    Desired Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will have at least five (5) years of experience as a licensed Registered Nurse with two (2) or more years of experience supervising professional staff in an acute care hospital setting.
