Overview

Responsible for information technology, data management and quality assurance.

Duties and Responsibilities: Information Technology (IT) - Under the supervision of the Support Services Coordinator the Quality Assurance Specialist will assist in the purchasing, upgrade and maintenance of all systems with the agencies IT vendor, working with staff to problem solve computer issues and submitting general agency IT notifications. Data Management - Assists Support Services Coordinator in administering agency wide data management systems, development of data fields, reports and grant reporting data requirements, addressing program managers data needs and problem solving when data system errors occur. Quality Assurance - will conduct internal audits of client records, monthly reports, service logs and any other records that are related to the requirements set by contract/grant funded programs; prepare internal reports detailing the audit findings; assist the Program Managers and Clinical Supervisors in providing targeted trainings for program staff; conduct follow up reviews to ensure that chart deficiencies have been corrected by program staff; maintain audit tracking database, monitor and track areas for follow up and correction by program staff; co-lead documentation and billing trainings for program staff in partnership with clinical staff; and interface with direct service staff , supervisors and managers in a professional and diplomatic manner. Will ensure thorough compliance monitoring, effective systems of proactively reporting out due dates and compliance status updates. Facilities Support Requests - when involving IT systems will aid onsite partners to respond and effectively solve IT issues at hand. Will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with an A.A. and/or enrollment in or completion of a B.A./B.S. preferred.
  • Experience related to compliance monitoring, outcome measurement, and/or research is preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, but not required.

Must present themselves in a professional manner. Thorough knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and possess excellent written, communication and organizational skills; attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work is required; possess computer literacy (email, word and excel). Knowledge of Mastery of Excel preferred. Must be able to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from direct service staff, supervisors and managers. Must be able to work independently and complete tasks within pre-established timelines; and interact effectively with team members and provide feedback diplomatically and constructively. Must travel to the Center’s sites in Van Nuys, Northridge and Valencia.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office setting with a low-to-moderate noise level; employee will need to utilize their personal vehicle for travel to and from meetings outside the office; employee must regularly communicate by telephone, written communications and in-person with staff, families served, partners, funders and other professionals; occasionally lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).

The anticipated hiring range: $19.71 - $25/Hour

Full Pay range: $19.71 - $25/Hour

Time Base: Full-Time
