    About University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB

    (This is not a state position)

    University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

    Position Summary

    Temporary, Part Time, Non-Benefited position through 6/30/2025 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

    Salary: $20.00 per hour.

    Location: San Bernardino: Salvation Army, Mary's Mercy Center.

    Work Schedule

    19 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically Monday through Friday after school.

    First Review Deadline

    This position will remain open until filled.

    Typical Activities

    Under minimal supervision of the Executive Director of Operations, the Tutor Coordinator will work independently to:
    • Asist in the coordination of the Children Deserve Success Program.
    • Provide student led tutoring 4 days per week.
    • Utilize tutors who represent a breadth of expertise to include STEM fields.
    • Provide a brief child assessment of core cognitive abilities related to school performance for each participating child.
    • Utilize child-specific tutoring activities based on the brief assessment.
    • Provide training to Tutors on developmentally appropriate strategies for managing challenging behaviors.
    • Other job related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Education: Current Junior standing in college, or AA degree
    • Experience:
      • Some work with students grades K-12.
    • Other:
      • Conflict resolution, time management, strong
        communication, and organizational skills, must have strong ethics and initiative .

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelors Degree.
