Position Summary: Licensed professional responsible for the performance of a wide variety of clinical laboratory tests and examinations, as well as laboratory quality control and quality assurance programs. Duties: Under the general supervision of the Clinical Lab Scientist II and the Associate Medical Director, the CLS I will perform a wide variety of clinical laboratory tests, examinations, quality control and assurance. Performs a variety of administrative functions within the laboratory, including coordinating daily operations during absence of lead, attends meetings and participates on committees. Ensures the laboratory continues to meet the standards for the compliance and accreditation program under CUA, COLA, California Department of Health Services, AAAHC and OSHA. Performs proficiency testing and maintains a safe laboratory environment in accordance with state and federal regulations, such as-the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), the Committee of Laboratory Accreditation (COLA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).
