Primary functions of the job include triage, psychosocial and substance abuse assessments, treatment planning, referral, individual counseling, case management and evidence based group treatment. The overall goal is to reduce recidivism for participants returning from state prisons to the community, those charged with 1170H offenses and high risk felony probationers. Crisis Team The Senior Psychiatric Social Worker on the Crisis Team works in the Emergency Department of Natividad Medical Center, assessing and diagnosing patients, having collateral contact with client caregivers to collect information and providing psycho-education, providing referrals to clients and families and responding to crisis phone calls. Children's System of Care The Senior Psychiatric Social Worker will work closely with the Juvenile Court and the Probation Department .
