PHARMACY DIRECTOR (Medical Services Manager, Senior) Correctional Health Services CLASSIFICATION UPDATE On January 24, 2023, the Board of Supervisors approved the implementation of a new management classification system throughout the County of Orange. THE OPPORTUNITY The CHS Pharmacy Director oversees the procurement, distribution, administration and control of pharmaceuticals; the evaluation and dissemination of information about drugs and their use to clinical staff; and monitors and evaluates the Pharmacy program to assure quality service. Description: Position Summary Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Student Health Services, the incumbent will provide accounting and financial services as assigned in support of Student Health Services. In addition, under the lead work direction of the Pharmacist in Charge, the incumbent will provide cashiering and other services as assigned in the Pharmacy. This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, temporary position with the possibility of reappointment. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation. Cashiering experience using CashNet system is preferred. Understanding of basic medical terminology. Knowledge of the function of a medical practice and pharmacy. Compensation and Benefits Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $3,345 per month.
