About Our Job Denver International Airport is the 20th-busiest airport in the world and the 5th-busiest airport in the United States, serving nearly 70 million passengers in 2019 and generating more than $33.5 billion for the region annually. DEN is the largest and newest commercial airport in the United States. This role is responsible for providing and executing a comprehensive maintenance program for DENs multi-facility property that fulfills our airfield, facility, and equipment electrical maintenance requirements. As such, this position requires someone with a expertise in Airport Facility Systems and all facets of the electrical systems industry (high, medium and low voltage), an acumen for developing and leveraging data-driven analytics to make informed decisions, and strong leader capabilities to provide both operational and technical leadership to our Electrical Maintenance team. Our Electrical Manager will successfully: Lead, coach, mentor, and challenge team. Active engage staff to gain support and commitment while motivating and encouraging team to meet goals and objectives. Establish performance expectations and standards for all levels of employees. Administer the Preventive Maintenance program to ensure consistent, high quality work. Collaborate with Project Managers on project-definition, design-intent, estimating, scheduling, etc. Lead efforts in developing performance metrics and KPI's to facilitate data-driven decisions. Ensure efficient fund management by using fiscally sound practices. Research financial impacts and consequences of proposed recommendations and provide business-case justifications to other stakeholders. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating employee engagement and innovation through the identification and resolution of process improvement opportunities. Develop and implement standards, policies, procedures, systems and guidelines for the organization, Superintendents, Supervisors, and staff. Develop and manage workforce management programs that address training, position management, work classification, labor productivity and succession planning. Champion programs for environmental stewardship, sustainability, and hazardous materials management. Utilize Operational Risk Management (ORM) strategies to develop emergency preparedness response plans and continuity of operations programs. Explain and defend the organization's decisions, actions and recommendations to internal and external customers. Provide subject matter expertise and advice in Electrical Facilities management. Administer the snow removal program and act as a Snow Manager. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. About You Our ideal candidate has: 3-5 years of Electrical Facilities experience as a Manager, Superintendent, or second-level Supervisor Experience maintaining a large-scale facility Experience managing in a 24/7/365 operational environment Experience with asset management, preventive maintenance, work order tracking software such as Maximo or CMMS Progressive technical experience in the Electrical career field High level understanding and experience in the operation of Airport Facility Systems (airfield lighting, PLB, etc.) We realize your time is valuable so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required minimum qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field based on a specific position Three (3) years of supervisory experience. Positions with no subordinate supervisors require three (3) years of professional level experience rather than the three (3) years of supervisory experience. Two (2) years of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements. Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.
