ABOUT THE POSITION Incumbents selected as an Elections Clerk will be assigned to temporary intermittent positions during peak workload periods, primarily during the month before and after the election. Weekend work is required for Election Clerks assigned to a Vote Center. Travel is required to staff and prepare the Vote Centers throughout the county. Most Extra-Help Election Clerks return to work seasonally year after year. Extra-Help Election Clerks will be required to attend hands-on training using equipment to register voters, update voter registration and issue replacement ballots. Extra-Help Election Clerks may also help the main office to prepare for elections by assisting with data entry, preparing for mailings, testing voting equipment and gathering supplies.
