Position Description RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AGENCY Invites your interest for the position of BRIDGE SUPERINTENDENT Salary: $5,660 - $7,725 per month Final Filing Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2021 Exam# 21/74E81/01JA The Public Works, Facilities & Parks Department brings together a range of functions to ensure safe building construction, plan for the future needs of the County, manage infrastructure and county facilities, and protect natural resources. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Public Works, Facilities & Parks Department is in immediate need for a Bridge Superintendent. Under direction, this classification plans, organizes and supervises all activities related to the maintenance and construction of Monterey County bridges and related structures, and performs related work as required. This is a single position classification responsible for directing all personnel and equipment assigned to the bridge crew. The Bridge Superintendent is distinguished from the class of Road District Superintendent in that the duties, knowledges and skills of the former are specialized in the construction and maintenance of steel, concrete, and wooden bridges and related structures, while the responsibilities of the latter are in the area of road construction and maintenance.
