POSITION PURPOSE / IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION The Street Maintenance Worker I/II position performs semi-skilled to skilled labor involving operation of light and commercial vehicles, machinery, and hand and power tools in public works maintenance and construction. Work requires considerable physical exertion and is often performed outdoors under severe working conditions. Operating Hours for this position are Monday through Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.It is a mandatory requirement of this position to work overtime, take weekend duty, and be on call for emergency work such as snow removal, water breaks, and sewer backups. At the entry-level, Water Agency Maintenance Workers perform a variety of entry-level, semi-skilled, light and heavy manual tasks involving water and wastewater treatment maintenance.
