POSITION PURPOSE / IMPORTANT APPLICATION INFORMATION The Summer Camp Leader assists with the design, development, and implementation of an exciting, safe, and fun-filled experience for participants in the Youth and Teen program. This position requires a minimum of 480 hours of documented work or volunteer experience with school-age children, ages 5 to 15. This position works at one of the City's two campsites, City Park or Countryside. Camp Leaders are scheduled to work between 38 and 40 hours per week between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Staff cannot take more than five days of time off during Camp. Recreation staff have the primary responsibility of ensuring the safety of program participants. This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to the nature of the work.
