Full-time position available with the Parks and Recreation Department, Parks Maintenance Division, located at 1520 W. 9th St.
Salary: Starting at $4,619-$6,928/month
Normal Work Days/Hours: 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities
- Process and enter payroll for District 2 and Park Security personnel daily.
- Perform budget analysis and provide updates to management.
- Manage contracts as needed and ensure proper documentation is processed.
- Monitor and review daily and monthly activity reports for accuracy and compliance.
- Support department software use, including Cartegraph, Lytx DriveCam, CivicRec, MyKC, Omnigo, Lexipol, and Digital Ally.
- Assist in training administrative and field staff on HR-related software and systems.
- Handle purchasing needs and assist with various financial operations.
- Attend internal and external trainings to remain current on best practices and procedures.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews; support the hiring and onboarding process for new staff.
- Manage office and fleet inventory with regular audits and reporting.
- Monitor daily radio communications and dispatch Park Rangers for service calls when necessary.
- Provide ongoing feedback to enhance team morale and operational efficiency.
- Offer direct support to the Area Superintendent and Chief Park Ranger in day-to-day operations.
- Plan and coordinate department meetings and events, including calendar management and logistics.
- Purchase department equipment and supplies using an assigned purchasing card.
- Oversee time clock administration for department personnel.
- Prepare and submit reimbursement reports, including snow-related operations for District 2.
- Support the Department with other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional experience in business or public sector administration to include at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience with at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
