    Job Summary

    Who we are:

    An Orlando Venues Security Specialist is a vital member of the Guest Experience Division for KIA Center, Camping World Stadium, Harry P Leu Gardens, and Mennello Museum. The Security Specialist primary roles are to observe & report and deliver legendary guest experiences. They proactively protect facilities, clients, and the public from potential hazards as well as deter theft and criminal acts with their presence. Additional responsibilities include completing written incident reports, ensuring compliance with policies & procedures, assisting pedestrians with traffic crossing, being on alert for safety issues, and handling crowd control with discretion and diplomacy. Security Agents are expected to have good communication skills, exhibit a safety-first mindset, and conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism. Involves standing and walking for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, and working outdoors.

    Starting Salary: $20.29 - $25.86

    Job Description:

    Follows horticulture best practices; maintains and cares for the large collection of trees, shrubs, groundcovers, flowers, and ornamental plants. Such duties include planting , pruning, spraying for pests, applying fertilizers, mixing soils, and identifying plant problems. Acts as lead worker to lower-level employees engaged in plant and lawn care and advises public on horticulture related inquiries. Work is performed outdoors and the employee is exposed to weather conditions and insects. Work is performed under moderate supervision and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through observations, discussions, and results obtained.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and one (1) year experience in horticulture or related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida Pesticide Application License required within ninety (90) days of employment.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
