    • The office for this position is located at the Harry S. Truman State Office Building, 301 W High Street, Jefferson City, MO. 65101.

    This position with OA ITSD Desktop Services is for a technician who will take a role in the automation of software installation, operating systems deployment configurations and printer support. This also includes responding to requests for assistance in troubleshooting technical issues, support to other technicians, and participation in long term projects in both individual and team settings. A person in this position will assist in setting direction for future advancement in endpoint

    technologies.

    Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

    This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting Enterprise IT Operations (EIT).

    • Writing scripts for software automation.
    • Deploying software with automation tools (Microsoft Configuration Manager).
    • Provide support and troubleshooting to other technical staff.
    • OS support.
    • Updating drivers.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions.
    • Troubleshoot/diagnose issues with printers.
    • Providing professional and technical print support.
    • Software/application support for printers.
    • Creating print queues.
    • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.


    • Technical troubleshooting skills with knowledge of Windows OS.
    • Strong analysis, critical thinking and time management skills.
    • Knowledge of software automation tools such as Microsoft Configuration Manager.
    • Scripting skills using PowerShell, VBScript, or similar.
    • Knowledge and experience with Active Directory and GPO's.
    • Knowledge and experience with PrinterLogic.
    • Knowledge and experience with print servers.
    • Computer Imaging.
    • Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.


    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.

    Knowledge of operating systems and applications. Knowledge of cybersecurity issues and preventative methods. Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software. Ability to research, collect, and analyze network performance.
