    The Missouri State Data Center (SDC), part of the Office of Administration’s Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) is seeking a professional, self-motivated individual to join and Supervise a team to support the duties of the SDC Print Operations.

    Authorization to work in the United States is a prerequisite of employment. The Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) will not sponsor applicants for work visas.

    This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) State Data Center (SDC).

    • Coordinate and mentor staff in the development, consolidation and maintenance of Operations procedures and processes, including disaster recovery plans.
    • Coordinate and provide staff training for SDC Print procedures and processes, as well as, participate in regular online and on-the-job training to enhance existing knowledge and skills.
    • Monitor quality control of all print jobs. Provide technical support and assistance for print related issues. Coordinate and helping provide timely response to all customer requests, service requests, incidents, problems, outages, degradations, maintenance and quality performance issues.
    • Provide after-hours technical support coverage for issues and phone calls that may require basic troubleshooting, and other support as needed by technicians and customers.
    • Categorize issues for escalation to appropriate technical teams and notifying customers and third-party service providers of issues, outages and remediation status.
    • Oversee and participate in the support and triage of active incidents and problems (including leading, documenting and supporting staff during hardware outages or print issues.) reviewing configuration information and technical diagrams, employing problem solving skills and knowledge of printer systems and networking.
    • Communicate with customers by phone and e-mail while tracking monitoring job quality to ensure customer satisfaction. Including creation and distribution of informational notices, statistical reports and other significant information to customers and ITSD staff in a timely and professional manner.
    • Participate in analysis, configuration, testing, implementation, and maintenance of SDC technology print and services. Schedule and monitor production jobs utilizing production control scheduling software; setting job triggers, predecessors, successors and requirements within a schedule. Also reviews and modifies schedules to ensure optimum performance.
    • Responsible for production of high quality printed material for the State of Missouri including letters and other essential forms that must be delivered to customers in a timely manner and on schedule. This requires high attention to detail, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
    • Must also communicate effectively with customers to provide timely information and updates regarding print jobs and service requests. Operate high volume print equipment and monitor print operations. This will include being able to set up and manage all printers and forms, cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, performing routine maintenance on equipment as needed and reporting equipment repair and maintenance needs to technicians in a timely manner.
    • May also assist with, or be responsible for, paper and printer supply inventory and/or ordering. Special projects, presentations, training, reports and other duties as assigned.


    • Reliability, self-motivated, attention to detail, ability to research and troubleshoot hardware and software issues plus experience evaluating print performance.
    • Ability to learn new technological skills, to interpret and apply standards, policies, procedures, follow verbal and written instruction and understand technical documentation.
    • Ability to work with a team to develop and implement procedures and best practices.
    • Knowledge of staff mentoring and coaching techniques with the ability to use that knowledge to mentor, train and assist other team members.

      Ability to plan, organize, think critically, problem solve, make decisions, recommended solutions, multi-task and prioritize assignments to meet required deadlines.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with management, coworkers and customers. Must also have the ability to type, excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience working with and comprehensive knowledge of applications such as but not limited to: Ricoh Process Director, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), CallBook, Pleasant Password, Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
    • Position requires good visual acuity and the ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand, sit, move and transport supplies throughout the shift.
    • Successful background check results are required for employment in this position. This may include background checks involving a candidate’s name and/or fingerprints and other screenings as needed for the specific position.
