    Description:

    The Criminal Justice Program Manager is responsible for performing professional and technical work in partnership with the Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee (CJCC). Promotes and fosters commitment, cooperation, and participation between government units and community partners. Facilitates improvements in the criminal justice system through planning, analysis, technical assistance, training, and information management. Identifies and researches policy and programmatic changes to guide strategic planning and systems change. Assists in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating system-wide improvements of criminal justice programs and services. Provides logistical and staff support to the CJCC. Maintains communication and ongoing proactive working relationships with partners and stakeholders.

    SCHEDULE:

    This position has a hybrid work schedule that allows for both in-office and remote work, with the flexibility to work either a 4-day or 5-day work week as determined by business needs.

    COMPENSATION:

    Hiring Range: $87,701.00 - $97,445.00 USD Annual

    Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
    • Facilitates collaboration among CJCC members to promote an integrated approach to the effective and efficient administration of criminal justice programs. Coordinates the development and monitors implementation of the CJCC’s strategic plan. Advises key decision-makers on policy issues, strategic initiatives, funding sources, and innovative programming.
    • Develops and coordinates the planning and implementation of initiatives and activities. Manages long- and short-term projects designed to improve criminal justice programs and services. Assists with outcome measures and cost benefit analysis for projects. Tracks and evaluates project outcomes, providing data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement and the implementation of evidence-based practices.
    • Gathers pre-existing data from published sources and prepares and presents information on best practices and makes recommendations. Monitors changes in state and local policies and legislation, analyzing the potential impacts on the criminal justice system. Collaborates with local data analysts to compile and analyze trends and facilitates data sharing across stakeholders.
    • Assists the CJCC Chair and subcommittee chairpersons in developing meeting agendas and other relevant correspondence and materials. Coordinates committees and workgroups; assists the chairperson in group facilitation and discussion. Provides meeting materials to the CJCC and subcommittees. Prepares reports and follow-up documents as requested by the Executive Committee and members. Keeps records and documentation of the committee’s achievements. Attends all relevant meetings. Provides education and onboarding for new committee members.
    • Identifies alternative funding sources and innovative partnerships to support CJCC initiatives and criminal justice programs. Oversees the preparation and submission of grant applications to support the committee’s work and mission.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • 3 years of work-related experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Social Work, Organizational Development, or another related field.
    • Note an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.


    Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • 5 years of relevant experience in criminal justice with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of local justice systems.
    • Knowledge of ethical guidelines applicable to the position as outlined by professional standards, federal, state, and local laws or ordinances.
    • Experience or advanced training in project management.
    • Skilled in developing and implementing long-term strategies that address systemic issues in criminal justice, including data-driven decision-making and program evaluation.
    • Oversight of budget and financial management, policy development and administration, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
    • Great interpersonal communication skills working with individuals and groups, including elected officials, municipal and county department heads, judicial officers, and high-ranking law enforcement personnel.
    • Ability to lead multi-agency collaborations, build consensus, and facilitate productive meetings across justice, health, and community sectors. Must be comfortable with public speaking.
    • Strong emotional intelligence and demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Passionate about agency's mission and vision.


    ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION:
    • Offer of employment contingent upon successful completion of criminal history background check, motor vehicle report, education verification, and/or references.
    • Must have valid driver's license, if you are from out of state, you must obtain a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date and you must not have any major violations, nor more than one DUI, DWI, DWAI conviction in the past three years.
