- This is an exciting position which oversees the FA, OA and AA testing on tandem mass specs. This person is expected to be familiar with their testing area, refer high risk time-critical results and have a regular work schedule.
- The position will supervise one scientist, and be responsible for training new employees in their testing section.
- This position will be responsible for inventory about every 2 months, lot comparisons, and PT and CDC testing requirements.
- This position is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting TQD MS-MS with technical support through Revvity Omics.
- This position is responsible for tracking QC and patient mean trends, instrument matching, and monthly reports consisting of how many samples are tested and reported abnormal each month.
- This position is expected to become cross trained across all Newborn Screening testing platforms, to support the unit when and where needed.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- 2 years of experience as a Public Health Laboratory Scientist
- Experience with tandem mass spectrometry instrumentation is strongly preferred
