What you will do: • Review hiring recommendations for consistency and fairness. Provide guidance to managers on salary proposals.
• Support the recruitment and interview process, and review applicant qualifications in HireTrue.
• Attend hiring events on behalf of the department for recruitment purposes.
• Review Position Description Questionnaires, ensuring proper completion and giving guidance where needed.
• Prepare written justification for position allocation requests.
• Provide day-to-day assistance to staff and applicants regarding compensation, payroll, benefits, and time and leave.
• Generate and verify the accuracy of HR and payroll reports.
• Assist with reconciliation of the timekeeping system before payroll runs twice a month.
• Assist with Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requests.
• Assist with processing employee Workers’ Compensation paperwork.
- Maintain organizational charts for the department
All you need for success: Qualifications • 3 years of experience in Human Resources
OR a Bachelor’s degree

Desired Attributes - Working knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources administration, including methods and techniques for position classification, compensation, recruitment, and selection.
- Proficiency with the state’s HR/payroll system (SAM II) is preferred but not required.

- Maintain positive working relationships and conduct duties with courtesy and respect.
- Accept and implement feedback with a positive attitude and constructively support open communication, dedication, and compassion.
