This position would be the programmatic lead over Older Americans Act Supportive Services, assist with the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act and the Senior Community Service Employment Program, and be the liaison for the bureau to other state agencies to ensure older adults are part of their planning process. This position would work with the Area Agencies on Aging, Local Public Health Agencies, Department of Mental Health Division of Developmental Disabilities and others to provide information on how to help Missourians age in a safe and healthy manner. This position would do outreach and education to the public to provide information on healthy aging and resources available for all Missourians to age well.
- Work on day to day program requirements for the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act in conjunction with the State Director.
- Work on day to day program requirements for the Senior Community Service Employment Program in conjunction with the State Director.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to Area Agencies on Aging and the aging network regarding Title III B Supportive Services under the Older Americans Act.
- Assist the team with overseeing the programmatic aspects of contract oversight and monitoring of the 10 Area Agencies on Aging
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Experience with state and/or federal program administration and monitoring preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in preparing presentations and trainings and presenting to small and large groups helpful.
- Experience in developing resource information to share with the public helpful.
- Ability to plan, organize, and complete complex assignments.
- Ability to interpret and explain policies, laws, and operations.
