As a HR Analyst, you will have the opportunity to learn a variety of human resources duties. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to process payroll transactions and onboarding.
*This position is approved for 1,000 hours of work during a 12-month period and is non-benefit eligible. This temporary position would end on September 15, 2025.
1. Initiates and performs the payroll duties for all personnel actions in SAM II HR which include full-time and hourly new employees, promotions, transfers, leave without pay, terminations, and retirements.
2. Maintains confidential employee records regarding time and attendance, leave, tax, insurance, and other benefits and deductions.
3. Maintains staff information on SAM II payroll system, MOSERS and MCHCP HR employer records online.
4. Monitors promotional eligibility.
5. Disseminates OALRS exit surveys.
6. Scans personnel documents into electronic filing system.
7. Schedule interviews and check references
8. Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Strong attention to detail.
2. Displays excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to perform various accounting/mathematical calculations.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Minimum Experience and Training
Three years of previous work and/or supervision, technical experience in human resource operation implementing payroll, benefits, retirement and similar programs.
*This position is approved for 1,000 hours of work during a 12-month period and is non-benefit eligible.
