    The Office of Workforce and Community Initiatives (OWCI) is seeking candidates to fill a Program Specialist position within the Community Initiatives Unit, working with the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Program. This position will be based in Cole County at 3705 Missouri Blvd, Jefferson City, MO.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: acting as a program liaison to contracted entities and partners. Assist in program planning, development, evaluation and implementation utilizing Federal guidelines, best practices, evidence-based interventions, utilizing analysis and tracking of outcome data and targets for federal reporting; develop and implement program policies/procedures, modify existing ones; monitor contracted entities, write monitoring reports, and provide technical assistance and training as needed; research, review, and analyze federal and state legislation for its intent, meaning, and effects. Statewide travel is required, minimum of 1 week a month for 6 weeks per year.

    Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

    Preferred Qualifications:The person in this position should be organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change. Excellent time management, written verbal communication skills, and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, agency staff, and other partners. Ability to work independently in assessing and managing priorities. Experience with computers and desktop applications, including Microsoft Office products.
