Why you’ll love this position:The Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), Division of Behavioral Health (DBH), seeks an Intermediate Accountant. This position reports to the Community Operations Manager.
Responsibilities: - Track, report, and analyze federal grant spending,
- Work with program staff to submit grant applications and required grant reports,
- Ensure grant spending is within federal regulations,
- Ensure Substance Use, Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery Services (SUPTRS) block grant 20% Prevention set-aside is met,
- Ensure block grants for Community Mental Health Services (MHBG) 10% Early Serious Mental Illness Set-Aside and 5% Crisis Services set-aside are met,
- Assist with cost reports and managed care wrap payments related to the Certified Community Behavioral Healthcare Organizations (CCBHO),
- Assist with the division’s crisis programs, including 988 Call Centers, Mobile Crisis Services, and Behavioral Health Crisis Centers,
- Assistance with provider allocations in Customer Information Management, Outcomes and Reporting (CIMOR) and the Claims Validation System (CVS),
- Creating and interpreting reports for management decision making,
- Participating in the development of improved procedures and controls.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Experience using a Microsoft Windows Operating System
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with federal grants
- Ability to analyze financials and alert management of outliers
