Job Location: This position will be located at Remote: work from Home (when not inspecting facilities within Missouri).

You will be a telecommuter working from your home office when you are not out completing surveys/inspections across Missouri. You will learn the Federal Regulations and State laws pertaining to Home Health Agencies, Hospices, Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities, Outpatient Therapy clinics, and Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Facilities. These regulations are used when going onsite to conduct surveys/inspections/investigations.
Typical work schedule: You will spend 3-4 days out in the field performing survey inspections/complaint investigations and then work from home when not out in the field. The facilities/healthcare providers are located throughout the entire state of Missouri, so you can anticipate travel with overnight stays of 2-3 nights per week on inspection weeks. Hotels, meals, and travel expenses are paid while out on inspection. You will attend an organized orientation and training program so that you will be comfortable in your new position. You will typically (although not always, depending on the inspection/survey type) work as a team with other surveyors. Your success is measured by both team and individual productivity, carried out with a committed work ethic while maintaining a high level of integrity.
- Travel state wide to assist in inspections of Home Health and Hospice Agencies, Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities,
- Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Facilities and Outpatient Therapy clinics.
- Assist to establish inspection and survey protocols.
- Travel state wide to primarily assist in inspections of Home Health and Hospice Agencies. You may also assist in survey and inspection work in Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities, Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care Facilities and Outpatient Therapy clinics.
- Assist in developing survey protocols.
- Assure healthcare providers are in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Investigate complaint allegations, including abuse and neglect of adults and children.
- Review clinical records for documentation requirements.
- Interview professional medical staff, patients and families.
- Observe patient care by professional medical staff.
- Review policies and procedures of healthcare providers.
- Serve as a regulatory resource for regulated entities.
- Complete survey reports following specified guidelines.
- Travel will be required with overnight stays and possible overtime.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: - Current Missouri license as a Registered Nurse/RN in good standing.
- 5 years of clinical experience.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, organizational & time management skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Experience in home health or hospice is preferred.
- Regulatory or quality assurance experience is preferred.
- Ability to travel statewide with overnight stays.
- Ability to maintain a secure home office with an internet connection.
