Nurse Supervisor to lead clinical operations in our high-demand
HIV and STD Clinics. These clinics play a vital role in protecting public health by offering education, prevention, testing, and treatment services for a range of sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia.
Our HIV and STD Clinics provide critical services including:
- Health education for individuals and target populations focused on STD/HIV prevention
- Clinical evaluation and treatment for STDs and related complications
- Partner notification and treatment to help control the spread of infections
- Adherence to state-mandated requirements to provide access to care within 24 hours
This is a working supervisor position-ideal for a nurse who thrives in a hands-on clinical environment while also providing strong leadership and operational oversight.
As the Nurse Supervisor you'll:
- Supervise day to day operations of nursing staff of all levels to assure quality of care and optimal customer service
- Develop short and long-range plans for HIV and STD clinical program related to clinic flow, staffing, nursing triage, developmental surveillance and employee performance, etc.
- Implement changes as needed gaining employee support for success
- Plan and evaluate services/procedures as they relate to program utilization
- Delegate responsibility to appropriate Nursing staff to maintain follow-up and operations of clinic program
- Work with clinic Program Manager to establish and update protocols for clinic services
- Provide annual and as needed employee evaluation, counseling, and support
- Ensure training and licensure of nursing staff
- Work as part of a team to meet clinic, division and agency goals
- Participate in agency activities related to emergency preparedness, including disease outbreaks and inclement weather situations and sheltering
- Provide nursing support to clinic providers

The Basics (Required Education and Experience) - Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Two years of experience as a nurse
- North Carolina Board of Nursing Licensed Registered Nurse
- CPR
- AED
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience) - Enhanced Role Registered Nurse
- 1 year experience as a Nurse Supervisor
- Spanish language skills

- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or work processes to make improvements or take corrective action
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, MS Outlook, and electronic medical records applications
