    Higginsville Habilitation Center is recruiting for a Permanent Part-Time Occupational Therapist Assistant to be a part of a highly effective team that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. HHC is a state operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports individuals receiving 24/7 services.

    The Occupational Therapist Assistant must be detail orientated, work well with others, have good time management skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Excel and other computer programs.

    Will be responsible for active treatment by helping individuals develop, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living. Will provide therapy through the use of adaptive devices and equipment, sensory processing and regulation and contributing to therapy plans through recommendation and documentation. Will maintain adaptive equipment and patient documentation.

    Knowledge of current occupational therapy modalities and treatment techniques and of human anatomy and physiology. Ability to observe and record individuals’ progress toward treatment goals and tolerance of treatment activities.

    Qualifications:

    Licensure as a Occupational Therapist Assistant

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
