If so, Tacoma Water has an exciting opportunity for you!As our Asset Planning Senior Process Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's mission by enabling the processes that empower data-driven decisions for the Tacoma Water Asset Management program. You will be instrumental in planning and coordinating complex cross-functional business process improvements, ensuring leadership has the critical information needed for informed capital and O&M decisions within our ongoing infrastructure portfolio planning. This position requires an exceptional ability to conduct in-depth analysis, develop compelling data visualizations and communications, and effectively facilitate change efforts to strategically manage our vital water assets.

Key Responsibilities:Process Improvement and Documentation:- Execute complex cross-functional business process improvement projects to enhance asset management functions across the Water utility.
- Map current and future-state workflows with precision using tools such as Lucidchart or Visio.
- Conduct insightful interviews, surveys, and observations to gain a deep understanding of existing workflows, identify inefficiencies, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and effectively communicate project findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Develop engaging training materials and actively facilitate change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
Communication and Research:- Design and develop clear, impactful communication tools, dashboards, and templates that not only present data but tell the evolving story of our assets and our journey, highlighting challenges, strategies, and successes in a way that resonates with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Lead and actively participate in efforts to effectively communicate asset management initiatives, progress, and key performance metrics throughout Tacoma Water.
- Conduct thorough research on industry-leading tools, best practices, and innovative asset management strategies, providing insightful analysis and actionable recommendations to the Asset Planning Manager.
Strategic Asset Information Management:- Collaborate closely with System and Asset Planning staff and cross-functional teams to proactively identify and resolve asset information inconsistencies, errors, and duplicate entries.
- Define and enforce asset information quality rules and validation processes for data accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct routine audits of asset information and related processes to maintain data integrity and process adherence.
- Proficiently utilize tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, Smartsheet, GIS, and SAP to analyze complex datasets, identify significant trends, and develop effective methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications Minimum Education* Bachelor's degree in public or business administration or directly related field
Minimum Experience* 4 years of progressively responsible analytical and/or program coordination/management work in area related to assignment
*Equivalency: 1 year of experience = 1 year of education
Desired Qualifications - Proficiency in Tableau, Smartsheet, and data management

Direct Deposit: Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule by direct deposit.
