    Student Worker - Customer Care Center

    $14.00/hour

    2 Positions to be Filled

    Location: College Station, Texas - RELLIS Campus

    The Student Worker will be responsible for extensive data entry to enroll participants in TEEX training classes via the student management system, answer multi-line 800 call system telephones, respond to customer inquiries, initiate and complete class data entry and maintain class records folders for the Infrastructure Training and Safety Institute (ITSI).

    Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or GED, and current enrollment in a degree granting program at an accredited college or university.


    Required Licenses/Certifications:
    • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Previous work experience in a customer service-related position.


    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift and move up to 20 lbs.


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, standard office equipment and personal computer.
    • Be able to use multi-line phone system.
    • Good keyboarding, communication and customer service skills.
    • TEEX SMS/TIGRS system knowledge.


    Equipment:
    • Standard office equipment : computer, keyboard, multifunctional printer, telephone and fax machine.


    Notifications:
    • This position is security sensitive.
    • This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TEEX regulations and procedures.
    • All tasks and job responsibilities must be performed safely without injury to self or others in compliance with System and Agency safety requirements.
    • This position may require work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.
    • Ability to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving a personal or TEEX vehicle.
    • This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TEEX does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role.


    Essential Duties, Tasks, and Percentages:

    Customer Service Support - 100%
    • Responds to customer inquiries and answer phones in a friendly and professional manner. Process
    • Registers customers into SMS and all related paperwork for ITSI training classes.
    • Processes and completes all class records within the TEEX required 14 business day time line.
    • Assists with maintaining all ITSI class record folders.


    Other Duties:
    • Completes other duties as assigned.
