This position is for an application development team member who will perform analysis, design, development, coding, testing, and maintenance of the Missouri Automated Child Support System (MACSS) application using Cool:Gen (mainframe), C#, SQL Server, DB2, and Razor pages. Personal interactions other development team members and business owners are required, as is research and troubleshooting of simple to complex problems. The successful candidate for this position should have software development training and a programming background. We are looking for self-motivated candidates with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages. This position is with the Office of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (OA-ITSD) supporting the Department of Social Services (DSS).

- Develop new code and maintain existing code for the MACSS project.
- Coordinate with senior developers and project members to develop, test, and maintain the MACSS application.
- Work with the team on the MACSS modernization project to make its application more efficient and user-friendly.
- Assist in research, analysis, troubleshooting, system integration, and problem-solving tasks.
- Perform independent analysis of code to ensure conformilty to business requirements.
- Log defects in the JIRA (bug reporting system). Track and follow-up defects.
- Provide out-of-hours support occasionally to ensure batch processes run properly and complete on time.
- Successful verification of resolved issues raised in JIRA system.
- Knowledge and programming experience in both mainframe and web-based applications.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and ability to follow ITSD/DSS programming standards.
- Ability to quickly gain an overall understanding of the Missouri Child Support business processes and systems.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Should be self-motivated with significant analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Experience using C#, JQuery, Javascript and SQL, Azure DevOps, and DB2 server is required.
- Experience in .NET Core framework.
- Familiar with Responsive Web Design.
