    This position will be located in the Division of Administrative Support’s Human Resources Program at the Lewis & Clark State Office Building, 1101 Riverside Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65101.

    • Create and enable a culture of continuous learning through a variety of methods for team members throughout the department.
    • Develop and facilitate engaging and informative learning sessions which provide professional development opportunities pertaining to topics such as communication, leadership, teamwork, collaboration, and other topics identified.
    • Design, develop and implement leadership and career development programs that resonate with leaders at all levels of the organization.
    • Serve as an Administrator for our learning management system and educate colleagues on using this system.
    • Assist with the overall performance management process.
    • Work collaboratively and in tandem with other Talent Development and Human Resources team members.


    To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:

    • Employee Development: Knowledge of employee development concepts, principles, and practices related to planning, evaluating, and administering training, organizational development, and career development initiatives.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Shows understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, concern, and politeness to others; develops and maintains effective relationships with others; may include effectively dealing with individuals who are difficult, hostile, or distressed; relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations; is sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, disabilities, and other individual differences.
    • Leadership: Influences, motivates, and challenges others; adapts leadership styles to a variety of situations.
    • Learning: Uses efficient learning techniques to acquire and apply new knowledge and skills; uses training, feedback, or other opportunities for self-learning and development.


    Equivalent to those typically gained by:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field ( substitution of education for experience will be considered ).
    • 2-4 years of experience in conducting training, creating engaging learning content, instructional design, or other relevant work experience.
