Job Location: This position will be located at 205 Jefferson St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.

This position was established to execute a PK-12 Statewide longitudinal data system. These responsibilities also include the coordination of disseminating information via the Departments web presence. This position will provide leadership and ensure the collection and reporting of quality data in the Office of College and Career Readiness.
• Conducts data analyses that support the strategic planning and accountability for Adult Education and Literacy, CTE, Curriculum, Literacy, School Based Mental Health, and School Counseling and Student Wellness.
• Creates advanced queries using Microsoft SQL or similar tools to process data requests from OCCR staff and other entities such as local education agencies (LEAs), state agencies, and the public.
• Protects sensitive data by understanding state and federal laws pertaining to education data.
• Assists LEAs with Missouri Student Information System/Core Data system data collection, reporting, and analysis.
• Collects, compiles, and coordinates data efforts for data submissions.
• Serves as a liaison between OCCR and Office of Data Systems Management to develop, prepare, track, and implement data projects.
• Conducts and participates in local, regional, and state seminars, webinars, workshops, and conferences.
• Designs, creates, and maintains data visualizations using graphical tools such as Tableau.
• Performs other related work as assigned.
• Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in education technology, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, data science, or information technology or closely related field.
OR
• Four years progressive experience working with large data sets, including data quality, data planning, and documentations. Experience must include work with using data for research, business intelligence, public reporting or closely related tasks. Experience must include two years’ work with statistical software and analytics.
