Department of Public Health is seeking an experienced
Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations for the Department's Federally Qualified Health Centers, Public Health Clinics and related service programs. Under administrative direction the Clinical Director will develop, plan, organize, evaluate, and coordinate the clinical operational services, systems, and clinical support staff through subordinate supervisors in a major service line involving multiple areas such as Primary or Specialty Care. Additionally, in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, work as a subject matter expert on nursing practices and staff development.

ABOUT CLINIC OPERATIONS: Clinic Operation's mission is to protect health, prevent disease, and promote health and wellbeing by providing primary and specialty care services to all residents in San Bernardino County by offering a wide range of low-cost, confidential health services focusing on disease prevention, chronic disease management and screenings.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT Pre-Employment Process: Prior to appointment, applicants must pass a background investigation which includes verification of employment history and education, fingerprinting, physical exam, and drug screening.
Travel: Travel throughout the County may be required and employees will be required to make provisions for such transportation.
Licensure/Certification: All required licensure (CA RN) and certifications (CA PHN & BLS) must be obtained prior to employment start/hire date, and must be maintained through the duration of employment.

Minimum RequirementsApplicants must possess all of the following:Education Bachelor of Science's in Nursing.
Licensure/Certification - A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (CA BRN).
- A valid Public Health Nurse (PHN) certificate issued by the CA BRN.
- A valid Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
Experience Three (3) years of full-time equivalent work experience as a Registered Nurse of which
two (2) years must include full-scope supervisory experience over nursing staff in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), clinical or ambulatory care setting. Experience may be concurrent.
Desired QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess a Master’s in nursing (MSN Prep )with strong application of clinical knowledge to include supervisory experience over nursing staff in a FQHC, or in a local Public Health Department. Experience with developing, implementing, and evaluating policies and procedures is a plus.
