Job Location: This position will be located at 912 Wildwood, Jefferson City, MO 65109. This position is not eligible for remote work.

- Manages position classification based on Uniform Classification and Pay.
- Process Position Maintenance request
- Review and determine employment eligibility
- Provide guidance to managers and supervisors regarding classification and compensation of team members
- Assisting in managing multiple types of Human Relations investigations - including civil rights, workplace violence, sexual harassment, theft, and code of conduct, among other types. Conducts thorough, professional and efficient interviews according to standards
- Assist in assuming control of high stress, sensitive situations. Ensures that all investigations/inquiries are completely objective and brought to a logical conclusion in the best interest of the Department.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Support new employee orientation and training efforts.
- Enter, monitor and oversee Worker’s Compensation claims and ensure policies are followed
- Perform various analyses of HR data utilization the state's human resources system
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Perform general human resources work that contributes to the success of the team
- Process Unemployment Claims
- Manages Tax Compliance List
- Maintain and run various reports
- Other duties as assigned
All you need for success: Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
- Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate utilizes good judgment, acts with integrity, possesses strong critical thinking, is a team player and can adjust to fill various roles on the team given the work load across the group. Able to meet deadlines. A successful candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be capable of working with a variety of software programs (i.e. Webex, Outlook, Word, etc.), be skilled in development and delivery of content in multiple platforms and methods, have strong writing skills and have experience with engagement methods for in-person and virtual delivery methods. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills are highly desired. Investigative experience is preferred.
