Why you’ll love this position: The Recovery and Self-Motivation Program within the Nixon Forensic Center at Fulton State Hospital is looking for energetic, caring, enthusiastic individuals to join our team providing specialized services to forensic clients as a Ward Clerk. This position assists in the management and operations of three client living areas. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate compassion and an ability to work in a trauma informed and recovery-based environment.
- What you’ll do:
• Entering all doctors’ orders into the computer (i.e., treatment, diet, labs etc.)
• Keeping forms and supplies ordered and restocked
• Filing and thinning all paperwork
• Communicating with guardians for notifications, consents, etc.
• Working with an internal computer system to transfer, admit, and discharge clients
• Scheduling and updating calendars with client meetings (i.e., treatment team, rewrites, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications: - Six or more months of experience in office support work
- Possession of a high school diploma or proof of high school equivalency.
- 15 earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience
Preferred Qualifications - Professional attitude and demeanor
- Reliable and consistent in attendance
- Experience using Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Organized and efficient in completing all tasks in a timely manner
- Self-sufficient in performing tasks once trained
