OverviewCommunity Justice Alternatives is now hiring an A dministrative Specialist II!
We have a current opening in the Alternative Sentencing Department and are also building an eligibility list for future roles in Community Corrections, Alternative Sentencing, and CJA Administration. As an Administrative Specialist II, you’ll provide vital support in areas such as Work Release, Community Service, Pretrial, Records, Hiring, Training, and Treatment.
Successful candidates placed on the eligibility list for this position may be offered part-time, temporary positions within Community Justice Alternatives as they become available. Accepting or declining an offer for a part-time/temporary position will not affect a candidate's place on the full-time eligibility list.
Assessment testing may be utilized in this hiring process.
Schedule The current opening is Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, and could include on-call or mandatory overtime. Schedules for other positions in this role may vary.
ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be doing:
- Providing customer service, responding to inquiries, and directing complex questions.
- Managing Court-Ordered Useful Public Service (UPS) placements and tracking progress.
- Answering and documenting calls about offender supervision.
- Making reminder calls for court dates.
- Preparing orientation packets and treatment materials.
- Maintaining program files and handling data entry.
- Processing record requests and assisting with hiring.
- Logging staff training hours.
- Providing general administrative support.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- One (1) year experience as an Administrative Specialist I or two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar office administrative duties and responsibilities required.
