    This position supports innovative strategies and coordinates with colleges and universities on the oversight and administration of programs that engage students at all phases of their learning journey. The Senior Program Specialist will help facilitate meetings of institutional transfer partners and faculty, manage special projects regarding credit mobility and reverse transfer, develop innovative educational solutions, and work with institutional partners as needed to ensure that more Missourians successfully earn credentials that will lead to high-demand employment.

    • Manage web-based and in-person meetings of statewide coalitions
    • Develop familiarity with Missouri statutes, rules, and policies to become the subject matter expert for institutions and students
    • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders - including federal and state regulators, institutional leadership, faculty, and students - to inform statewide transfer, educational pathways, and workforce initiatives
    • Lead successful project teams, made up of internal and external members, through complete project lifecycle
    • Maintain course equivalency databases, CORE 42 portal, and course transfer tracker
    • Serve as the point-of-contact for software and technical applications related to state transfer systems
    • Work with minimal direction to review and analyze electronic documents regarding postsecondary education and training, including training guides, course descriptions, surveys, and syllabi
    • Utilize data to measure student success/outcomes and transfer trends
    • Research, analyze, and develop transfer policies
    • Perform other related work as assigned
    • Demonstrate regular, reliable attendance


    Competencies you’ll utilize:

    • Strong organizational, project management, and event management skills
    • Ability to synthesize information concisely and communicate in a way that is appropriate for different audiences
    • Facilitate large and small group meetings in a way that keeps participants engaged and on-topic
    • Flexible team player with ability to complete assigned tasks independently
    • Exhibit creativity and innovation in educational strategies for transfer and student success
    • Relationship building with key stakeholders across the state to generate buy-in and support
    • Proficiency with applications such as Zoom or WebEx for virtual meetings, as well as collaborative platforms like Slack
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to accomplish strategic priorities within targeted timelines


    • Beneficial education and/or work-related experience includes technical or professional experience in transfer, advising, data analysis, public administration, postsecondary education, workforce initiatives, or closely related area
    • Preferred experience in the areas of transfer, data analysis, and coalition building
